Air Grabber Ready

Attached the Mopar air filter maintenance and service stickers... finished!

Orange paint for the Air Grabber...

Painted the air grabber lid with VHT Hemi Orange color... now I just let the paint dry and then I´ll put the Mopar air cleaner service and maintenance sticker into it.

Plates are in...

Mounted the black plates... now we just need to get rid of that damn snow and get the driving season started!

Season almost started...

Yesterday I put the new Mopar battery in place, measured the license plate screw holes and everything...

 

plan was to take the GTX to home today but what happened during the night?

this happened... a lot of snow! Seems that I still need to wait couple of days to bring it on home.

My previous and current vehicles updated now in "My Garage" - collections! Not all are the actual vehicles I have owned because not having pictures to all of them but the models and colors are matching.

Update 28.3.2012: New company car updated. Unbelievable that I couldn´t have time in all these three years to take the actual picture about my previous company car Audi A4.

Tach Adapter

GTX tachometer did not work with the MSD 6AL ignition box and I needed to purchase this adapter. This MSD 8910 adapter should correct the problem by triggering the signal into a signal the factory tachometer recognizes.

Cruising Tracker

Test drive for this Sports Tracker application if it could be used also for cruising nights...

New Battery

Of course I needed to purchase the original look Mopar "red cap" battery... red cap is for big blocks and yellow cap is for small blocks. This is reproduction and totally maintenance free with the modern technology. Thanks Pepe for the delivery!

Spare tire

Purchased old spare tire. It´s 14" Mopar steel wheel with Good Year white line Polyglas F78-14 tire. Wheel was painted with hemi orange color but fortunately I still got couple quarts of GTX metal green paint left, so I painted the wheel with the same paint than the GTX. Now the trunk is one more step closer to the period correct look. I´m still thinking if I should paint the main wheels in the GTX with the same color or should I just leave them black as they currently are...

Barrett-Jackson Trivia...

Intresting info from the Barrett-Jackson car auction website:

"As of February 14, 2002 there are 47 GTX convertibles (1969) known to exist."

Knowing the fact that only 701 GTX convertibles (1969) was ever made and only 47 known to survive, I just wonder how many ´69 GTX Convertibles with manual transmission there still is... not much because only 178 was manufactured.
